Alison Farshi—Piano Teacher & Accompanist

A versatile teacher and accompanist
with over 30 years experience.




Alison works as a performer and teacher, working with all ages and covering all styles from Baroque to Contemporary.


Alison Farshi is a Cheshire-based pianist from Manchester, England. She currently works as a teacher and accompanist across Cheshire and the North-West of England.

Alison is a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. After winning the college piano prize Alison returned to Manchester to study at the Royal Northern College of Music. At the RNCM she completed her Postgraduate studies in Piano Accompaniment.

Currently teaching in several schools in Cheshire, Alison works for three different Music services across the region plus two sixth form colleges in the North-West. She combines this with a busy private teaching practice near her home in Altrincham.

Accompaniment & Exams





Alongside teaching, Alison works as an accompanist. Equally happy with instrumental, vocal and choral accompaniment, she gives several recitals and concerts each year. Alison plays for music college and university auditions and has accompanied in several rounds of the BBC Young Musician of the Year.


Alison is familiar with the syllabus requirements for ABRSM and Trinity board practical exam requirements. Alison also teaches Theory of Music and Aural for both ABRSM and Trinity exam boards.
